The Pembroke Welsh Corgi was originally bred in Wales where they were used as herding, companion, and/or guard dogs. Corgis are one of the smallest dogs in the herding group. They are loyal, intelligent, and affectionate yet they are also independent and are not considered a “needy” dog.
Corgis can adapt well to both city and farm life. However, due to their intelligent and lively personalities, they will require a good amount of physical and mental stimulation to keep them happy and healthy! Without it, they may become bored and destructive.
Due to their herding instinct, some may try and herd small children or other pets, however, if they are raised with children and socialized properly Corgis can make great family pets!

The only real difference between the two is their appearance. Fluffy Corgis have just that - a fluffy, fuller coat! Other than that, they have the same lovable Corgi traits!

Surprisingly, fluffy Corgis do not shed more than standard coats, they actually tend to shed less! This is because their coat isn’t as dense.
However, keep in mind that they are still moderate shedders and will require more maintenance since their coat tends to collect dirt and debris more easily due to its length. Brushing you Corgi is extremely important to prevent matting.
