Welcome to Dalmatians & Co.
If you are looking for a quality, well-rounded long haired Mini Dachshund or long coat Dalmatian, then you are in the right place! We know how important it is for puppies to be well-socialized and accustomed to the everyday hustle and bustle of daily life, prior to going home! All of our dogs are family pets first, whether they live in our home or with one of our amazing, guardian families. It is extremely important to us that our dogs are part of the family and receive all of the love and attention they deserve!
What Makes Us Different?
Quality First. Or in other words, quality over quantity. For us, ensuring that we are raising happy, healthy puppies is extremely important. Along with being registered, we also look at our parent dog’s health and temperament prior to breeding. This means that they have gone through all breed specific testing before they have puppies.
Socialization. Our puppies are handled daily, from the beginning! At day 3, our puppies begin Early Neurological Stimulation (ENS) and Early Scent Introduction (ESI), which continues through day 16. As our puppies get older, they are also introduced to new textures, sights, and sounds daily. Along with this, we also do tolerance building exercises which include touching their ears, paws, tails, and petting upwards on their back (like a younger child may do). We want them to be tolerant to any new experiences that they may encounter.
Passion. We pride ourselves in raising some of the best spots around! We are fortunate to be able to raise all of our puppies in our home/attached garage. From birth to about 3 weeks old they are raised in my master bathroom. After this, they are moved to the attached garage to their “puppy suite”, so that they’re able to start on potty pad training. As soon as they are old enough, they are allowed into the play in their enrichment play area, but also still come inside our home daily. Raising puppies is not a job, its a way of life. You have to be passionate about it in order to give them the best start possible!
About The Breeder
Hi! My name is Taylor and I am the owner behind Dalmatians & Co! Located in Wamego, KS, we specialize in raising Mini Dachshunds and occasionally will have a litter of Long Coat Dalmatians. We are extremely fortunate to be able to raise our dogs and puppies on our 9 acres.
I have always been very passionate about dogs and I do not take breeding lightly. You will never see us pair two dogs together because they are “cute”. We will always consider their health, temperament, and lineage prior to breeding any of our dogs.
We want the best for our puppies and you! Which is why we try our best to give our puppies the best start possible, even before they are born!
